The Role

As a Trade Assistant within our NPI team, you’ll support qualified tradespeople to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality maintenance across our Leonora operations. Your work will span our workshops, fuel facilities, camps, administration buildings, and essential utilities.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be an important part of maintaining critical site infrastructure, ensuring our teams have the facilities they need to operate safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist tradespeople with day‑to‑day maintenance tasks across site facilities and services
  • Carry out basic repairs, labouring, and equipment preparation to support planned and unplanned work
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow established safety procedures
  • Support stores, inventory, and materials handling as required
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and in accordance with site standards
  • Participate in routine inspections and reporting of facility conditions
  • Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented work environment focused on safety and accountability

This role is available to local applicants residing in Leonora or nearby communities, offered on either a 4:3 roster or an 8:6 roster.

About You

You’re a motivated, safety‑focused individual who enjoys hands‑on work and being part of a team. You communicate well, follow instructions accurately, and take pride in getting the job done right first time! You’re proactive, reliable, and enjoy the variety of tasks this role offers.

You’ll Bring:

  • Previous experience in a trade assistant, labouring, or maintenance support role (mining desirable but not essential)
  • Strong commitment to working safely and following procedure
  • Ability to work effectively under direction and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and support multiple trades
  • A current Manual C‑Class Driver’s Licence
  • HRWL, EWP, LF or other tickets are desirable but not essential
